Prescribed qualifications for Nursing Officer (NORCET-11):

Candidates possessing 4-year B.Sc. Nursing or 2-year Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing are directly eligible without requiring any hospital working experience, provided they hold a valid Nurse and Midwife registration.

For GNM diploma holders, 2 years of continuous experience in a hospital having at least 50 functional inpatient beds is mandatory. The experience is calculated strictly after completion of the course and award of state council registration.

Registered as a Nurse & Midwife (RN/RM) with any State Nursing Council or Indian Nursing Council (INC). Registration must be active and valid as on the crucial application closing date.

Candidate must be a Citizen of India, a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.

The recruitment is conducted in two successive computer-based test stages:

AIIMS NORCET Stage-I Preliminary Examination Pattern:

Stage-I is qualifying in nature. Marks scored in Stage-I are not included in the final merit rank calculation.

Negative Marking: There is a penalty of 1/3rd (0.33) marks for each incorrect response in both Stage-I and Stage-II.

When tests are conducted in multiple shifts, raw marks are normalized using the standard percentile score method. In case of tie in Stage-II, preference is given to: 1. Fewer negative marks; 2. Older candidate in age; 3. Date of completion of degree.
