IOB LBO Eligibility Overview

Before submitting the online application for Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) Local Bank Officer (LBO) Recruitment 2026-27, candidates must carefully go through the eligibility criteria prescribed in the Official IOB LBO Notification (Advt. No. HRDD/RECT/02/2026-27, dated 07.08.2026). This guide covers Educational Qualification, Graduation Requirements, Nationality, Local Language Proficiency, State/Circle Eligibility and Category-wise conditions exactly as specified in the official notification. No information has been assumed or added from outside sources — wherever a detail is not covered in the notification, candidates are advised to check the official notification directly.

Indian Overseas Bank has invited online applications against 250 Vacancies for Local Bank Officers in JMGS-I across four States — Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat. The selected candidate shall be posted only in the State applied for, and will remain posted within that State for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV Grade, whichever is earlier. Merely applying for, appearing at, or qualifying any stage of the selection process does not automatically confer eligibility for appointment; the Bank verifies eligibility documents at the time of the Personal Interview and any subsequent stage.
