Age Cut-off Date & How Age Is Determined

As per the Official IBPS CRP CSA-XVI Notification

IBPS CRP CSA-XVI notification ke according, age calculate karne ke liye official cut-off date 01 August 2026 hai. Candidate ki age isi date ko as-on basis par determine ki jayegi, na ki application submit karne ki date ya exam date ko.

Age determine karte samay, candidate ki Date of Birth ko cut-off date 01 August 2026 se compare kiya jata hai — agar candidate ki age is date par minimum 20 years aur maximum 28 years (applicable relaxation ke saath) ke beech hai, to candidate age criteria ko fulfil karta hai.

Important: Always calculate your age using the official cut-off date 01 August 2026, not the date of application or the date of examination.

Ex-Servicemen Age Relaxation

Ex-Servicemen (ESM) aur Disabled Ex-Servicemen (DESM) ko upper age limit me actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years ki relaxation di jati hai. Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST ke liye yeh relaxation 8 years hai. Yeh relaxation maximum age limit of 50 years ke subject hai.

Conditions (as per official notification)

  • Ex-Servicemen candidates jo already Central Government Group 'C'/'D' me re-employed hain, unhe higher grade/cadre me dobara job ke liye age relaxation milegi, lekin unhe Ex-Servicemen reservation ka benefit doosri baar nahi milega.
  • Ek baar civil job join karne ke baad, Ex-Serviceman ka status Government of India ke OM No. 36034/1/2014-Estt. (Res.) dated 14.08.2014 (as amended) ke terms me governed hoga.

Important Age Limit Guidelines

Important age-related points every IBPS CSA aspirant should remember

📅
Calculate Age From the Correct Cut-off Date
Always calculate your age as on 01 August 2026, the official cut-off date. Do not calculate age based on the application date or exam date.

Keep Category Certificates Ready
If claiming SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/ESM age relaxation, keep the prescribed original certificates and photocopies ready for document verification.
🔗
Only One Additional Relaxation Category
SC/ST/OBC relaxation can be combined with only one of the remaining eligible relaxation categories — plan your category claim accordingly.
PwBD Certificate Must Show Benchmark Disability
PwBD age relaxation applies only to candidates with a benchmark disability (not less than 40%) as certified by a competent authority.
🎖️
Ex-Servicemen Must Check SPE Completion Date
Serving Armed Forces candidates applying under the Ex-Servicemen category must have a Specific Period of Engagement completion date on or before 20.08.2027.
