SSC MTS 2026 Signature Size & Upload Rules

While filling the online application for the SSC MTS & Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination, 2025, candidates must upload a scanned signature that strictly matches the official specifications. Applications with a signature outside these limits are summarily rejected (this rejection ground does not apply to candidates who complete Aadhaar Based Authentication).

Signature must be uploaded in JPEG/JPG format only.
File size must be between 10 KB and 20 KB.
Image dimension should be about 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).
The signature should be horizontally aligned.
A blurred or miniature signature will be rejected summarily.

Why 708 x 236 Pixels?

The official notification specifies the signature dimension in centimetres (6.0 cm x 2.0 cm), not pixels. The application portal's own upload screen states this should be captured at a resolution of 300 DPI. Converting 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm to pixels at 300 DPI gives approximately 708 x 236 pixels — the exact target this tool uses in Official Mode, while preserving the required 3:1 width-to-height ratio.
