Kendriya Vidyalaya mein admission ek priority-based system par kaam karta hai. Jab available seats se zyada applications aate hain (jo aksar hota hai), tab KV Sangathan official priority order ke hisaab se students ko seats allot karta hai.
Priority mainly parent ke job type se determine hoti hai — Central Government, State Government, ya Private. Iske baad social category aur special quotas bhi role play karte hain.
Priority 1 — sabse highest priority — unhe milti hai jo KV Sangathan ke direct employees hain ya Central Government ke Defence (Army, Navy, Air Force) serving employees hain. Ye log transferable hote hain aur KV schools ki original foundation hi unke families ke liye thi.
KV admission mein Single Girl Child ko special consideration milti hai. Agar kisi family mein sirf ek beti hai (koi bhai nahi), toh woh Single Girl Child quota ke tahat additional priority pa sakti hai. Ye provision government ki "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" scheme se aligned hai.
Right to Education (RTE) Act ke tahat, EWS (Economically Weaker Section) aur BPL (Below Poverty Line) category ke students ke liye 25% seats reserved hain — aur ye seats priority system se alag hain. Iska matlab hai ki even if parent private job mein hai, EWS/BPL certificate hone par admission ki chances bahut improve ho jaati hain.
Haan hota hai — lekin sirf tab jab higher priority categories ke baad seats vacant rahe. Private job employees Priority 5 (lowest) pe aate hain. Agar ek KV mein 40 seats hain aur Priority 1-4 se hi 40 applications aa gaye, toh private job walon ko seat milna mushkil ho sakti hai.
