📌 Always verify that your university is recognized and your degree is completed before the official qualification cutoff date (01.08.2026).
📌 Distance Education degrees bhi valid hain — bas UGC ke Distance Education Bureau se approved honi chahiye. Document verification pe ye certificate saath laana zaroori hai.
📌 Result declare hona zaroori hai — sirf result process hona kafi nahi. Official notification clearly kehta hai: "Mere processing of the result by the University/Institute by the cut-off date does not fulfill the EQ requirement."
✅ Qualification Success Guide
Recognized Degree — UGC/Government recognized university ya institute se graduation complete hona chahiye.
Correct Subject Combination — JSO ya Statistical Investigator ke liye specific subjects mandatory hain.
Valid Graduation Status — Final year students ke liye cutoff date (01.08.2026) tak degree mandatory hai.
Required Documents Ready — Mark sheets, provisional certificate, degree certificate document verification ke liye ready rakhein.

⚠️ Diploma Alone Not Eligible — Koi bhi diploma (ITI, Polytechnic, etc.) bachelor's degree ka substitute nahi hai SSC CGL ke liye.
⚠️ JSO Has Special Requirements — Sirf graduation kafi nahi — 12th Maths 60%+ OR degree level Statistics compulsory hai JSO ke liye.
⚠️ Statistical Posts Need Specific Subjects — Statistical Investigator Grade-II ke liye specific degree subjects mein se ek hona mandatory hai.

Graduation Rules

SSC CGL Graduation Requirement 2026

Basic Graduation Requirement

SSC CGL 2026 ke almost sabhi posts ke liye Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent mandatory hai. Yeh cutoff date 01 August 2026 tak honi chahiye. Iske bina koi bhi candidate eligible nahi maana jaayega.

Official notification (Para 8.4.1) clearly kehta hai: "Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent." Yani degree completed honi chahiye aur university recognized honi chahiye — dono conditions zaroori hain.

  • Bachelor's degree in any stream (BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, BTech, etc.) — sabhi valid hain
  • University ya institute UGC/Government recognized hona chahiye
  • Degree ki equivalence verify ki jaayegi document verification mein
  • Sirf degree ka naam kafi nahi — marks sheets aur provisional/final degree certificate dono required hain
Key Point: Agar aapka degree kisi equivalent qualification se hai, toh document verification mein Equivalence Certificate produce karna hoga concerned authorities se. Final decision User Department ka hoga.

Konsi Degrees Valid Hain?

SSC CGL ke liye bahut variety of degrees valid hain. Regular mode se leke distance education tak — sab acceptable hain provided recognition conditions poori hon.

  • Regular Mode: BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, BTech, BE, LLB, BHM — sab valid
  • Postgraduate Degrees: MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA, MA — bhi graduation ke barabar count hote hain
Final Year Rules

Final Year Students Eligibility Rules

SSC CGL 2026 mein final year students bhi apply kar sakte hain — lekin kuch important conditions hain jo zaroor samajh lo. Official notification (Para 8.5) kehta hai: "The candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification as on 01.08.2026."

Good News: Final year mein ho toh abhi apply karo. Exam dene ka chance milega. Degree complete karo 01.08.2026 tak — sab theek rahega.

Degree Completed After Cutoff⚠️ Not ValidAny delay beyond 01.08.2026 disqualifies
Critical Rule (Para 8.8): "Mere processing of the result by the University/Institute by the cut-off date does not fulfill the EQ requirement. It is reiterated that the result of requisite educational qualification must have been declared by the Institute/University by the specified date." — Result officially declare hona zaroori hai.
JSO Qualification

SSC CGL JSO Qualification Criteria 2026

Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) — Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation — ek special post hai jiske liye special qualification criteria hai. Sirf graduation kafi nahi. Official notification (Para 8.2) ke anusar:

Official Rule (Para 8.2.1): "Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level; OR Bachelor's Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level."

JSO ke liye Do Raaste Hain:

  • Option A: Kisi bhi subject mein graduation + 12th mein Maths 60% ya zyada marks
  • Option B: Kisi bhi subject mein graduation + degree level mein Statistics ek subject ke roop mein
  • Dono mein se koi ek hona zaroori hai — sirf regular graduation se JSO nahi milega
  • 12th maths 60% below waale candidates bhi eligible hain agar degree mein Statistics tha

Common Confusion Clear Karein:

Bahut students sochte hain ki "BSc Math se graduation hai toh JSO mil jaayega" — yeh poori tarah sahi nahi hai. BSc Mathematics mein — agar aapne statistics bhi pada hai degree level pe toh Option B se eligible ho. Agar nahi pada, toh 12th mein 60%+ Maths chahiye tha. 12th Maths 60%+ means total marks in Maths paper 60% ya above.

Statistical Investigator

Statistical Investigator Grade-II Qualification 2026

Statistical Investigator Grade-II — Ministry of Home Affairs / RGI — ke liye ek specific stream mein graduation mandatory hai. General graduation degree sufficient nahi hai is post ke liye. Official notification (Para 8.3.1) kehta hai:

Official Rule (Para 8.3.1): "Bachelor degree in Statistics or Mathematics or Economics or Demography or Population Studies or Operation Research or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Application or Data Science or Artificial Intelligence from a recognized University or recognized Institute."

Eligible Degree Subjects for Statistical Investigator Grade-II:

  • 📊 Statistics
  • ➗ Mathematics
  • 💹 Economics
  • 👥 Demography / Population Studies
  • 🔄 Operation Research
  • 💻 Information Technology
  • 🖥️ Computer Science
  • ⚙️ Computer Engineering / Computer Technology
  • 📱 Computer Application
  • 📈 Data Science
  • 🤖 Artificial Intelligence
Important: BA English, BCom, BBA, General BA/BSc (without these specific subjects as main degree) — in degrees se Statistical Investigator Grade-II ke liye apply karna valid nahi hoga. Subject clearly match karna chahiye.

Degree Recognition

Degree Recognition & Verification Rules

University Recognition Kyon Zaroori Hai?

SSC CGL mein sirf graduation hona kafi nahi — university ya institute recognized hona mandatory hai. Non-recognized university ya fake university se degree invalid hai. Document verification mein agar degree invalid nikli, candidature cancel ho jaati hai.

Open & Distance Learning (ODL) Degrees

Open and Distance Learning mode se degree bhi valid hai — provided conditions poori hon (Para 8.6):

Qualification Verification Process

SSC CGL exam ke time detailed scrutiny nahi hoti — candidature provisionally accepted hoti hai. Document Verification (DV) User Departments/Organizations conduct karte hain final result ke baad. Isliye sabhi original documents ready rakhein:

  • Mark sheets for all years/semesters of graduation
  • Provisional Certificate ya Degree Certificate
  • Equivalence Certificate (agar applicable ho)
  • DEB approval letter (agar ODL degree ho)
  • JSO ke liye 12th marksheet (Maths marks verify hone ke liye)

Common Qualification Mistakes — Bachein Inse

Diploma ko Degree Samajhna

ITI, Polytechnic Diploma, PG Diploma — ye bachelor's degree nahi hain. Inse SSC CGL eligible nahi hain.

Non-Recognized University Degree

Fake ya non-recognized university se degree valid nahi. Document verification mein reject ho jaayegi.

JSO ke liye Sirf Graduation

General graduation se JSO apply nahi kar sakte. 12th Maths 60%+ ya degree mein Statistics mandatory hai.

Result Process Hona = Declare Hona

University mein result process ho raha hai — yeh kafi nahi. Result officially DECLARE hona chahiye 01.08.2026 tak.
